Giro 2022

The Grande Partenza of the 2022 Giro d’Italia takes place in Budapest on Friday 6 May.
The 1st stage travels from Budapest to finish in Visegrád before time trialists will have it their way in the streets of Budapest on stage 2. The finish is at Szentháromság tér, or Holy Trinity Square.
The 3rd stage travels on the flat from Kaposvár to Balatonfüred, a coastal town at Lake Balaton.

Easter

Easter Sunday (17th April 2022) is the most important date in the Christian church.
In the Bible, it is the day when Mary Magdalene found that an empty tomb in the cave in which Jesus had been placed following his death by crucifixion on the previous Friday.
It signifies the end of the 40 days of Lent, meaning Christians who gave up something during lent to signify Jesus’ time in the wilderness, can indulge themselves again.
Easter Sunday is also when church bells will be rung again, having been silent during Lent.

Gourmet Festival (27-29.05.2022)

This year we will be able to taste the most exciting culinary offer of Hungary at the Gourmet Festival, listing the best restaurants, wineries and confectioneries, among others. The Millenáris (where the event will take place) has been completely refurbished.

Budapest Spring Festival (29.04 – 05.15.2022)

Between April 29 and May 15 2022 the city will celebrate again, the 42nd BUDAPEST SPRING FESTIVAL is coming! The Budapest Spring Festival is one of the most serious all-arts festivals in Europe. Each evening of the festival there is a special event, which is complemented by co-events of the capital’s cultural institutions.
